Ricky at Party In The Park

LOCATION: Capital Radio's yearly charity concert at Hyde Park, London - England on July 4th.

The event featured many popular stars e.g.: Gary Barlow, The Corrs, Culture Club, Eurythmics, Another Level, Boyzone, Blondie, Madness, Steps and many more. All in all there were 30 acts on stage between 12.30pm and 21:30pm.

Ricky Martin came on stage at 3.30pm. While his set was being put up, many people in the 100,000 strong audience kept whispering his name realizing it was time to go "loca" - the single which was released the day after the huge Capital Radio party in Hyde Park (July 5th).

Ricky at Party In The Park As soon as Ricky came on stage, the audience was up and dancing. Ricky performed: "Livin' La Vida Loca", "Shake Your Bon Bon" (hey, yes people already had the album then and were able to sing along (namely us!)) and "Maria" (audience: "oh yes, I remember that song - cool tune".

It was the first time on that day that you could actually hear that the Party In The Park audience was actually 100,000 people strong!

After his performance, Ricky then went to join listeners on the internet. Check out the Capital Radio Chat Transcript .
