According to Sonymusic in the Netherlands, Ricky will be singing two songs in the Letterman show in November. In addition, he will be interviewed during the show.

MTV Europe has now officially announced that Ricky will perform at the European Mucic Awards in Stockholm:
London, 16 October 2000: Ending weeks of speculation, rumour and intrigue, MTV is delighted to announce that three superstars - living legend Madonna, screen siren and ‘Latin Soul’ artiste Jennifer Lopez, and Latino Sensation Ricky Martin are to join the already dazzling performer line-up for the 7th annual MTV Europe Music Awards, which broadcasts live from The Globe, Stockholm on 16th November 2000.

Ricky won 4 Eres awards in yesterday's awards ceremony: Best Image, Best Concert, Best Record and Best Song.

According to concert reports from NZ fans, Ricky performed Loaded at yesterday's show in Auckland.

MTV Europe will have another press conference tomorrow to a) announce how to purchase tickets for the event in Stockholm, Sweden on 16th November and b) to announce further artist appearing on the show. One of the artists being announced tomorrow will be Ricky Martin.

Stage safety concerns postpone Ricky Martin concert
The recent bad weather is being blamed for today's sudden postponement of the one-off Ricky Martin concert in Auckland.
The Latin pop sensation was due to perform at Ericsson Stadium tonight, but concert promoters have been forced to postpone the concert until tomorrow. Irate fans who have travelled to Auckland from all over the country are angry they will now have to pay for new flights and accommodation.
Publicist Lynn Smart said construction staff have simply been unable to complete the stage in time because of high winds and driving rain this week. She said Ricky Martin insists on everything begin 100% for his concerts and the stage simply wasn't safe.
Ticketek has been inundated with calls from fans, but is reassuring them that all tickets are still valid for tomorrow night's show.
However, an angry fan phoned an Auckland radio station this afternoon claiming Ticketek will not be refunding tickets of people unable to attend tomorrow's show.
When contacted by the Herald Online, a Ticketek employee said no refunds would be available. A Ticketek spokesperson later said it is the promoter who decides whether or not tickets will be refunded and that "at this stage, it is unclear what the policy of the promoter is on that issue."

NEW pop diva Leah Haywood has been invited to support Ricky Martin on his tour next week.
Haywood has released her debut single, We Think It's Love, and has a debut album out shortly. Martin's only planned appearance in Sydney at this point is at the ARIA awards, but his concert is sure to be larger than life with an entourage of 100 and more than 18 semi-trailers of equipment.

Ricky was in a MSN chat from Hong Kong. In the chat he said that there would be no concerts in Europe next year, but he would be back for promotions in November sometime. It was announced on the Wal-mart network TV this morning that Ricky will be doing a concert for Wal-mart for the launch of Sound Loaded.
