Ricky Martin, Shakira, and Juan Gabriel took home top honors Wednesday (Oct. 20) night at the Ritmo Latino Music Awards - El Premio de la Gente at the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles. Martin walked away with three awards including Album of the Year and Male Pop Artist or Group for Vuelve,
and Music Video of the Year for "Livin' La Vida Loca." Colombian artist Shakira was named Artist of the Year, and Female Pop Artist or Group of the Year for Donde Estan Los Ladrones?.

Ricky Martin has been nominated in the category of Best International Male for the Amigo Awards '99. The ceremony takes place in Madrid on November 4th.
Ricky Martin is set to release a new single from his mega selling 'Ricky Martin' album. Shake Your Bon Bon will hit stores November 15 around Australia. Featuring hot remixes, plus for the first time ever, Ricky's Christmas song, 'Ay Ay Ay It's Christmas', the single will see you shaking your bon bon all through summer.
At radio from October 25, expect to hear it everywhere. The sensational video was directed by Wayne Isham who also directed Ricky's Cup Of Life and Livin La Vida Loca videos as well as Will Smith's Miami.

Angelo Medina, Ricky's Manager, has confirmed that Ricky Martin has been asked by President Clinton to visit the White House on November 2.
Medina said that Clinton wishes to personally congratulate Martin and to thank him for his committment to the Latino community in the United States..
Medina mentioned that Martin will take a break in his tour of concerts in the
United States to visit the President.
"Ricky is a world-wide phenomenon. Americans agree that he's as great as some great American entertainers, and all agree that his show is the show of the decade´´, said Medina in a press release.

lifetime achievement award based on contributions to Latin music and culture.

MILAN, Italy, Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Ricky Martin will be in Milan today to attend the Giorgio Armani Women's Spring/Summer 2000 show. Also in town to support Giorgio Armani are actors Sophia Loren, Glenn Close, Claire Forlani, Vinessa Shaw and Robin Tunney and international soccer star Reynaldo. The show will take place at the newly acquired Giorgio Armani building on via Bergognone.
Following the show there will be a dinner and party to celebrate the Spring 2000 launch of Giorgio Armani's new fragrance
for women -- ``mania.'' Dinner will be served by Nobu of London and DJs Francois K., Joey Claussell and Danny Krivitz
from New York's renowned club Body & Soul will provide the music for the party.

program Oct. 27. Meanwhile, the singer tells the New
York Daily News that he still has not made up his mind
about performing on New Year's Eve. "I got offers from

paper. "It's such a special evening. I usually spend
that night with my family. I work all year long. I
