Ricky Martin to take part at Jingle Ball on 16 December
Z-100 announced Ricky Martin to take part in this years Jingle Ball Charity event at Madison Square Garden, NY on December 16th. Tickets went on sale this morning and sold out straight away. The line up includes Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias, Robbie Williams, LFO, Jessica Simpson, Lenny Kravitz, 98* and others.
Ricky in Germany in December
As reported in previews News updates, it has now been comfirmed that Ricky will be performing at Europe's biggest TV Show "Wetten, dass" in December. Countries including Germany, Austria, Switzerland and parts of the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Italy will be able to watch the show on Dec. 11th.

Ricky Martin, More Added To "Millennium Live" Broadcast
After landing the young pop icons of 'N Sync for their marathon New Year's
Eve program, the organizers behind "Millennium Live... Humanity's Broadcast"
have now added Ricky Martin to the lineup.
According to "Variety," the 24-hour global telecast will feature live
coverage of the former Menudo-man's concert in Paris.
The publication also reports that Aerosmith, Blondie, Destiny's Child, The
Pretenders, and 10,000 Maniacs have been added to the marathon broadcast,
which will be carried in the United States on the PAX network.
As we reported last month, 'N Sync will be performing on the program, as well
as Santana, Phil Collins, Maxi Priest, and new age icons Jean Michel Jarre
and Mike "Tubular Bells" Oldfield (see "'N Sync Set For 'Millennium
Live'...").
"Millennium Live... Humanity's Broadcast" will begin airing at 6 a.m. (ET) on
December 31.

Ricky Martin is set to perform at the 10th annual Billboard Music Awards, to be held Dec. 8 at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas. The awards honor the top artists and recordings of the year as determined exclusively by the year-end Billboard charts. This year's show will air live on FOX at 8-10 p.m. ET.
At yesterday's Spanish AMIGO Awards, Ricky won the Award for Best International Singer. He sent a video message to say thank you: "Hi Friends, I'm Ricky Martin and I'm very happy for this Amigo Award, I want to tell you that in Spain started something very interesting in my life, started the crossover in Europe and then we went to Asia, and now I'm in USA making a tour like the Spain last summer, I was there about 4 months, and because of that I can't be with you this night. Thanks for your support and your sincere applauses. I will be with you very soon. See you then."

Martin gets blood pumping
WASHINGTON - Hearts began thumping the minute Ricky Martin came into view at Tuesday's gala for the Larry King Cardiac Foundation. The Livin' la Vida Loca singer was engulfed by camera crews and awestruck fans. The cornered but smiling star skipped the dinner and retreated to his suite until it was time to entertain. Martin, taking a break from his sold-out tour to entertain gratis at King's benefit, returned with a troupe of scantily clad dancers to offer up Vida Loca, She's All I Ever Had and Shake Your Bon-Bon - shaking his own non-stop. Many in the crowd did, too, including King's two months' pregnant wife, Shawn. For the finale, King donned a white Saturday Night Fever suit and shook his bon-bon alongside Martin. Puerto Rican-born Martin earnestly told the crowd: "I live on emotion, I live on hearts. That's what has kept me going for 15 years. God, give me 15 more!"

The gala will begin at 6:30 p.m. on November 2,1999 and will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Georgetown. This is a black-tie event and tickets can be purchased individually at $1000 and table sponsorships from $10,000 to $100,000.
Ricky has also been invited to see President Clinton, Ricky has a very strong message to give Mr. Clinton. Stop bombing runs on the territory's island of Vieques.
``Puerto Rico is united in this cause and I'm part of it,'' Martin said in Friday's El Mundo newspaper.
The ``Livin' La Vida Loca'' singer has a tentative meeting scheduled next week with Clinton when he is in Washington for a benefit concert.
The Navy owns two-thirds of Vieques, a tiny island off the eastern coast of Puerto Rico. The military has conducted exercises using live bombs and other artillery on Vieques for decades.
Opposition to the bombing intensified in April when a Marine Corps jet dropped two bombs off target and killed a civilian security guard. Exercises were suspended after protesters set up camps on the range.

Judge protects Ricky Martin shirts
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - Ricky Martin won a court order barring the sale of counterfeit Ricky Martin T-shirts. U.S. District Judge Barbara Hackett issued the order several hours before the pop star performed Monday at the Palace in Detroit. Attorneys for Martin and Winterland Concessions sought the order. Winterland produces authorized T-shirts for Martin. "These counterfeiters
can take in up to $100,000 at a concert," said M. Kelly Tillery, a lawyer for Winterland Concessions.

A major Italian newspaper reports that MTV is preparing a movie version for the Lewis Carroll book "Alice in Wonderland". Ricky Martin has been engaged with Britney Spears to act in this movie. He will played the Crazy Hatter (il Cappellaio Pazzo) and she will play Alice. This movie should be ready by the end of next year.
