On a lighter subject, about his next record, this one is expected to be in stores by November. The songs have already been chosen and the only thing that's missing its his voice and some details. This production will be considered an "evolution of sound although we are trying to preserve the latin sound". The lyrics were composed by Roby Draco Rosa, Desmond Child, George Noriega, Randy Barlow, and Jose Walter. He will also be counting on authors that have worked with Cher, Rod Stewart and Tina Turner, within others. The production will count on a budget of $3 million dollars and will be recorded in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Miami.

Artists To Promote Harmony:
Carlos Santana, Ricky Martin,
Montell Jordan, and Chaka Khan
have agreed to participate in an
album to promote racial harmony.
The effort will be coordinated by
the Oneness Project, a non-profit
organization started by
Grammy-winning producer KC
Porter, event coordinator Faith Holmes, and music
industry veteran Dennis Stafford.
The trio is in talks with a number of labels, including Atlantic, Arista, and Virgin, says Holmes, about releasing the album. Holmes and Porter would like the album to come out by next summer, with an all-star track possibly recorded after next year's Grammy Awards. Money raised will fund a racial awareness campaign, educational programs, and grants and scholarships.

Ricky is now back in the USA where he is continuing the pre-production for his new album. The new album will feature (as mentioned before) 5 Spanish songs one of which is planned to be "Ask For More", the song used for the latest Pepsi Commercial which has also been played upfront each concert throughout Europe.
Last Wednesday on 10th May 2000, Ricky won two awards at the World Music Awards in Monte Carlo. Best Pop Male and Best Latin Artist.

Sorry for not updating the site in the last few days, but most of our team are currently on the road in Europe. Please check out RMTEE to read some reviews and reports on Ricky's European tour so far.
Travelling around, we couldn't resist trying to find out more about the new album and here is what we were told so far: The new album will consist of 5 Spanish songs, the remaining ones being in English. The scheduled release date is January 2001. The next tour (after the Asian/Australian part of the Livin' La Vida Loca tour is finished) will not be until 2002.
