What's rock 'n' roll's biggest TV moment?
A new top 100 list from VH1 and Entertainment Weekly magazine says that was it -- the day Beatlemania hit the states and stayed.
The most recent: Ricky Martin's performance at the 1999 Grammy Awards, one of 28 events from the 1990s.
VH1 plans to air selections from the list in a series of five one-hour specials on VH1 starting July 31.
Rcky's Milan concert will be broadcast on French TV on M6, on August the 4th at 22h30 until midnight.

MIAMI- "Only for the unbelievers" that could be the name of Ricky Martin's new disc, which he is recording on his days off during the second leg of his U.S. tour. By pure coincidence we had the chance to hear samples of the songs that will be included in this new CD. The song that is expected to be the first single, and that should be released from the middle to the end of August is called 'She Bang" and of course was written by Robi Rosa. The song is very contagious and at the same time it is solid and musically rich. The words insinuate without being at all vulgar. Simply, it is perfect. We had the chance to listen to the song while Ricardo Cordero; one of the singer's managers, gave us a ride. What happened was that while we were walking through Miami Beach, we spotted Cordero having lunch in a restaurant and went in to greet him. The young man was just finishing his lunch with a local businessman, and very kindly asked us to sit and chat a while. Later when we were leaving he offered to give us a ride to our hotel. In his car he had the "demo" of the new CD in the CD player. When he turned on the car, it started to play. Despite trying to turn it off, after a lot of begging he let us listen to a few seconds of some songs. But that was enough for us. "This song was produced by a person who has worked with Mariah Carrey and Celine Dion. We still don't have a name in Spanish, but in "Boricua"(Puerto Rican slang) it would be something like "Ella brega". The disc is 80% in English and 20% in Spanish, these last ones are mostly translations of some of stronger English songs on the disc." Cordero said. "There is various Rock and Roll type songs, with the fusion that has characterized Ricky's work the last few years. This is without a doubt a much better CD than the last one. The first single is going to prove that Ricky can go even higher in his career." Cordero says enthusiastically. He also informed us that the ballads are beautiful, and that the CD's Latin rhythms, are "very, very, very Latin." They still don't know the name of the new CD or where it will be launched worldwide, but they are thinking in cities like London, Paris, New York and Los Angeles. "We will always do something special in Puerto Rico to present the disc." Cordero said. The photo shoot for the cover of the CD took place last Friday, one of the few days Ricky has had off during the last few months. "Among other things we are hoping to have an "unplugged" concert from 'El Morro', for example, live on MTV." Ricardo says. "This disc is going to be magical," he concludes.
On a side note: The MTV Unplugged session was originally scheduled to take place at MTV London straight after the European May dates but due to other commitments MTV was not able to set it up on time.
Syntek is going to write for Ricky
By Yined Ramírez
Eritmo.com | Puerto Rico
There are many people who want to get on Ricky Martin's ride, and Aleks Syntek
is one of them. In spite of the rumors on some comments that Aleks Syntek made
on how Ricky Martin does not deserve the superstar reputation he has
worldwide, Syntek is going to write a series of songs that are to be evaluated
by the Puerto Rican artist because he admits that "the broadcast a song could
have worldwide nowadays with Ricky Martin, could not be achieved by any other
songwriter."
A few months ago, the Mexican songwriter joined his fellow countrymen, Maná, and Christian Castro when despising Ricky's talent saying that he did not deserve the seat of honor he occupied because he was neither a songwriter nor a musician.

The producer told us that he finds himself submerged in the recording of new
songs for the new CD from Ricky Martin. "We have basically defined the
repertoire and the work material is quite solid (i.e. they have picked the
songs and he believes they are good) We are counting on Robi Rosa, Desmond
Child, George Noriega, Randy Barlow, and Walter A. We are roaming around
following Ricky on his second leg of his US tour, that ends the 28th of July
in Portland, Oregon. Wherever he goes, all the equipment moves with him, and
on the days when he has no concerts, we record."
Ricky will finish the disc in August and he shall film the video for the first single the week of July 30th and 31st. It is not known though where it will be filmed, nor the of character the disc, but it is thought it will be in some city in the US. This is Ricky's 3rd album, in as many years. The first two sold over
