Now that he is on Puerto Rican ground, Aleks Syntek reacts to the alleged comments he made a few months about the National superstar Ricky Martin.
It was said that the Mexican rock star had commented that the globally renowned artist was not worthy of the seat of honor he holds worldwide. He allegedly declared that the fact that the singer of "Shake Your Bon Bon" was not a lyrics or music composer was frustrating and that he didn't deserve to be the exponent of Latin boom.
According to the creator of "Sexo, pudor y lágrimas," he never made those comments on our artist. "It was a misunderstanding. I don't know what it was said on Ricky Martin' work. The criticism was never drawn; its pure sensationalism," he said.
It seems that everything happened when he reacted angrily against the Mexican media in the "Otro Rollo" TV show for paying more attention to insignificant matters. He had released a CD Rom, which the media totally ignored. Nevertheless, they gave full coverage to the Ricky Martin's change of hairstyle. "Likewise, I could have mentioned Enrique Iglesias. I would like to make clear that I respect all Puerto Rican musicians in general. I personally would like to be in Ricky Martin's shoes; he's a good example to follow," he repeated.
Aleks Syntek is scheduled to give a concert on Saturday, July 8 at the Luis Muñoz Marín Amphitheater in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
