Sony Uk have confirmed today that the eagerly awaited best of album will be released in the UK on 19th November, inline with other european countries, on sony tv label.

At present there are no plans to release a video or dvd of Ricky's best of collection.

The German release date of 'The Best of...'is 12 November. The CD will include a Livin‘ La Vida Loca video-file.

Ricky has won the Billboard Award in the category 'Best Latin Clip of the year' for She Bangs. Congratulations!

Robi Rosa stated in an interview that he would not be involved in Ricky's new musical productions.

It is rumoured that Ricky might be recording a duet with Anastacia for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, to be held in japan and Korea. This has not been confirmed, but if it happens, it would be second time in a row that Ricky performs the theme song for the World Cup Soccer.

The D-200 concert in Korea has been cancelled by the organising committee.

The D-200 Worldcup Concert is in a critical phase to cancel. They have problems with sponsors and low sales of tickets. But the Korean Worldcup Commitee said:
"Now we're discussing on that matter and pushing 'Morning Hill' to proceed with the concert. We'll have the conclusion during this day.
Morning Hill should take all the legal responsibilities if they cancel."

The band (later) received word that the event was indeed cancelled.

Michael Jackson has approached an eclectic mix of musician pals for the recording, including 'N SYNC, MARIAH CAREY, RICKY MARTIN, 98 DEGREES, ENRIQUE IGLESIAS, AARON CARTER, LUTHER VANDROSS and REBA McINTYRE, who will all take their turn to sing a selection of MOTOWN classics with the star. The album is tentatively titled IT TAKES TWO.

CBS has announced that they will show another Ricky concert special on TV. It is yet unknown whether this will be a new special or a re-broadcast of an existing one.

On monday 26 November the CD single of Amor and the Maxi single will be available in stores all over Denmark.
A tv campaign will start to support the release. The campaign will run until the end of the year.

Sonymusic Sweden and UK have explicitly stated that Amor would not be released as a single locally. A release in Italy and France is also highly unlikely.

Here the official word from the FIFA committee... Anastacia will sing the Official song of the World Cup 2002, called "Boom". She will perform it for the first time in Busan (South Korea) during the World Cup drawing. The Official Hymn was composed by the Greek musician Vangelis and will only be instrumental, played by the Symphonical Orchestra of Korea.

Top Hispanic Artists Perform to Benefit Relief Efforts for Victims Of World Trade Center and Flight 587
