MIAMI - Puerto Rican superstar Ricky Martin has confirmed his participation at the upcoming Billboard Latin Music Conference, where he'll take part in a one-on-one Q&A session May 8. Martin's interview is expected to be one of the highlights of the conference—the annual high-profile gathering of the Latin music industry—scheduled to take place May 7-9 at the Eden Roc Resort in Miami Beach. The conference culminates May 9 with the Billboard Latin Music Awards at the Jackie Gleason Theater.

Martin, who is currently working on his upcoming album, is the third superstar to grant an exclusive interview as part of the conference, following Enrique Iglesias in 2000 and Marc Anthony in 2001.

Martin says, "I am looking forward to speaking before the Latin music industry, which is where my roots are. It's an honor and a privilege to be invited to participate in such an incredible conference."

The conference will feature a host of panels on such subjects as radio programming (including programming for the 12-24 listener), regional Mexican music, Latin rock, television, retail, and a president's panel. ASCAP will sponsor the now-traditional songwriters' panel, where aspiring writers are invited to bring their work to established songwriters and producers.

Ricky joined Elton John and Billy Joel on stage during their concert at the National Car Rental center in Florida. He was invited to join them for a rendition of 'Great Balls of Fire'.

The release date of the La Historia DVD in Australia is 6 may 2002.

Ricky has been nominated in two categories at this year's World Music Awards:
- Best selling latin
- Best pop male

The single of 'Come to me' is now available in shops in the Netherlands.

RM is almost finished working on his new CD to launch shortly, but the surprise of the year would not be his launching of his new CD, but that of a sports magazine. According the the magazine DIGITAL FAME, the Puerto Rican will launch a sports magazine of the first order. Even though he won't be participating directly, he will support it with special reports and Money! The project is a dream of an old friend of his, and he couldn't help but participate. They say that the name of the magazine will be chosen by the interpreter of She Bangs.

La Historia DVD will be released in France on April 16th.

Contrary to the rumours, Ricky won't be at the opening of the new Park
"Disney Studios" at Disneyland Resort Paris on Friday 15th.
It was a possibility that was being considered, but we and several official
FC around the world have received confirmation from the management that it
was cancelled.

According an article in Swedish newspaper Expressen on 13 March, Ricky would
be travelling to Stockholm to record a couple of songs with Swedish
producers Anders Bagge and Arnthor Birgisson in Solna. They have previously
worked with artists such as Ronan Keating, Hall and Oates, 98 Degrees, Celin
Dion and Jennifer Lopez.
Ricky will be travelling to Stockholm via London on 15 March. He would be
staying for 5 days and (supposedly) 'hoped to have a chance to see
more of the city' during his visit.

Tooday it was announced that it appears that the trip has been postponed. We
will keep you updated as 'news' develops.

Finally, 'Come to me' has enterd the Dutch charts this week at
nr. 96!

Yesterday afternoon, Ricky and his manager arrived in Stockholm on a trip from NY via Paris. He will be in Stockholm until Tuesday to work on his new album.

The person arranging Britney Spear first movie Premiere party in Stockholm has spoken to Ricky's record company and that it is very likely that he will show up.

The most important info is that ricky has brought some of his own material to Sweden and the swedish producers also have some songs for him.
The article says that the studio's are heavily guarded (checking access).And that's a prestige for Ricky to be working with such succesfull producers.

According to Expressen did Ricky not attend the premiere party of Britney Spears movie Crossroads in Stockholm yesterday Monday.

According to Sony Music NL, the video clip of Come to me consists of images from other videoclips,interviews and behind the scenes footage. The clip was finished today and wil be sent to the music channels. The clip is should be shown on the various channels at the end of this week or the beginning of next week.

Yesterday, FC got words from Ricky's personal manager JoséLuis Vega that The album will definitely be in english and won't be released until October/November.

Endi reports that Ricky is in Los Angeles to attend several pre-Oscar events. Medina's office confirms that he is scheduled to visit the parties thrown by Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings), Miramax Films, Mercedes Benz, Elton John and Vanity Fair.

He will not attend the Oscar event itself, but return to Miami to work on his album instead.

Ricky traveled to Los Angeles as part of his production plans for his new album and took the oportunity to participate to the activities linked to the Oscars but didn't attend the ceremony.On sunday night he attended the Vanity Fair party at Morton's restaurant in LA. He also attended the anual party of Elton Johns 's AIDS fundation.

On saturday he took part at the Miramax Films y Mercedes Benz convention.

Then, Ricky met with some movies directors & producers to evaluate various project which could get him on the BIG screen.It's rumoured that he could participate in a movie based on famous painter and sculptor's life Amedeo Modigliani, which could be filmed in Paris this summer.
